T he Parent & Student Portal is an easy, convenient way to monitor a students grades and assignments. By signing up you will have 24 hour access to what is happening in students' classes. Please contact Stephanie Boucher (registrar) for more information, and most importantly,  to get signed up.

Parent & Student Portal FAQ

Q:  What is the Parent/Student Portal?

A.   The Parent/Student Portal is a feature of the Illuminate Student Information System that provides students and parents immediate access to grades, assignments and attendance records in an effort to facilitate and improve communication between home and school.

Q:  What can I see on the Parent/Student Portal Site?   

A:  Students and their Parents can access the following information: grades for current classes, attendance for the past two weeks or the whole term, teachers comments, announcements, calendar.

Q: How do I log-on for the first time?  

A: Go to or click on the Parent/Student Portal Link on the right. Click the tab 'Student' or 'Parent', enter your ID and password you received from the school.

Q:  I do not know my ID and/ or I did not receive my password.  How can I receive this information?

A: Marina High School has a Parent/Student Portal Help Desk.  Come to the registrar's office and ask for Stephanie Boucher to receive information and an access code.  Please bring parent consent form and identification such as photo ID  to ensure that your access code is secure.  

Q: When do teachers post their grades / assignments? 

A: Teachers will post assignments at the minimum every two weeks.  Grades will be posted within two weeks of the Grade due date.  See Grading and Communications Board Policies for more information.
